yesterday my parents gave me a panarama stunner strip for my 16th birthday. it does a pretty good job of simulating moonlight but my bgk doesn't seem to like it. Will she get used to it in time?

The stunner strips are not supposed to be moon lights. You can link together up to six or so on one transformer and use as a lighting system or low wattage suplement. You can also buy relectors to focus and intensify the light. Check Foster and Smith or Marinedepot.com for more details.....
Well far as BGK and blue/purple light they will get used to it just fine assuming its not to bright. If its a soft blue or purple they do fine. I found that my former BGK even did ok in a lit tank assuming there was enough cover. He'd feed in the day light, then dim to the moonlight and he's do crazy! Just give him a month or so to adjust.
