Has anyone used a 36-48 Marineland Double bright LED on a 90 with the brace?
I am concerned about the light not going end to end resulting in a shadow at both ends and in the middle. I can't afford the 48 -56 or whatever length that is offered.

Would I be better using a standard florescent?

Can the LED be used without a glass top. If I hang it from the underside of a canopy?
Should I still have a glass lid even with a canopy?

Has anyone had LED light custom made for cheaper than Marineland lights?
Will they ever wire the lunar lights to a separate plug so they can be timed differently?

The 36-48 Marineland Double bright LED is 36" long. The metal legs expand another 12". A friend of mine just found this out the hard way.

They only have 40 degree optics which means its a narrow field of illumination which is pretty much the width of the fixture.
