LED strip lights install help

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to attach this type of LED lights to my fluorescent fixture with a separate on/off switch without frying them? I fried the set I tried out bc of too much power.

Im just going out on a limb because the link wont load here at work and say maybe they are 12 v lights and will need a 12 v controller.

I would recommend you look at the current usa flexible leds they can be found on ebay for between $20 To $60.

If you are retrofitting a current fixture, you will have to have a power supply to convert the incoming 120V (before the ballast) down to 12V.

Hooking them up after the ballast will not work, there is too much voltage. I suggest that you run an independent line.

I found the current usa with RGB lights, fixture and remote for 48" for $105 at petco.com. Is that a good deal or have you seen any elsewhere with all that for cheaper?
