Has or does anybody us LED's in there planted tanks I am thinking about getting some specifically for a planted tank what is yall's input. I am specifically looking at aquatraders.com. But any advice would be appreciated.

There's a lot of new LED technology out there now. Lots r designed for reef and coral, so plants shouldn't b a problem. Big factor is price.
Whats even more cool, is they make LEDs, w lightning and sun movement

What size tank? I know on larger tanks there aren't any really good LED options that aren't DIY
However, on smaller tanks I find the Ray II lights to be great. I have one on my 5.5 and plan on getting one from my 10, for a tank of that size it is considered "Hi" lighting and lets me grow virtually any plant I want to.

are you planning on running co2 or dosing your tank? and what kind of substrate do you plan on using, along with what kind of fish.

sorry for the late respons
the tank is a 125 (6ft)
once I move the tank (mom wants it in the basement) I will get a legitimate CO2 setup and possibly dose the substrate is eco complete mixed with black gravel.

just did the math currently I am running 156 watts (half 10k other half 6500k) in T-5. With the LED lights i'm looking at (aquatraders) but open to any, 6ft of light will have 144 watts and 6480 lumens.
