Okay...last new thread for tonight guys.

Well the past 4-5 days by left pinkey/left side of my ring finger has been asleep. It goes off and on, but is always slight bit asleep the whole time. Seriously, I don't even notice it, unless I touch something with my pinkey only. Anyone else have this happen. I'm not worried, but it being asleep the whole time isn't normal obviously.

Anyone?

It seems like a friend of mine had a similar problem about 2 years ago. She lost feeling in 2 of her fingers, then her arm went dead for awhile. She wasn't allowed to drive anymore in case the problem spread and she wrecked. She wound up having extremely painful surgery in her arm to correct a nerve problem. But I wouldn't worry about it, you probably just have an under-appreciated finger that wants to be used more.

How can you tell a story like that and then tell him not to worry about it? lol.

I hope you figure out the problem Packer.

I would try making a new thread, see if that helps.

It sounds like ulnar neuropathy--where there is inflammation or compression of the ulnar nerve. Did you recently injure your elbow or wrist? If your condition does not resolve with time, you should get it checked out. It's usually caused by trauma/injury, but could be result of other things. Here's an article:

Muahahahaha!

I doubt it's serious. I've had slight loss of feeling in my fingers. I think you're in trouble if you lose mobility or function of them. My friend had a pretty serious problem that's not too common. Probably just poor circulation in your hand. It will probably pass.

I would get it checked out. I'm not well versed on the subject, but it definitely sounds nerve related.

Sounds like your friend had thorasic outlet compression syndrome. The surgeries for it are really fun to go though......not. I went through them bi-laterally and still have problems from time to time. I have also been through the carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel surgeries. Not fun, but it allowed me time to go back to school.

Personally, knowing what I know now, I would get the numbness in the fingers checked as it can be a precurser to bigger more serious problems.
