i heard apple snails are illegal in some states in the US. is that true?

I'm not sure, but I would not be surprised if they were illegal in CA, FL and TX.

I believe they were made illegal, but can be obtained by dealers with a permit. That is the way it is in my state anyway.

yah people freak out about things like that out east theres a huge problem with zebra mollusks they have taken over the problem is now there in the rivers and they might not be able to get rid of them they crowed out native mussles and clams and eat all there food they also they use up all the breeding grounds stupid little things
