Legal snakeheads?

Unfortunately, Amia calva (bowfin) is the last surviving species of the Order Amiiformes.

All species of Family Channidae are a no-no in the US.

Maryland exempted the ban on a few small tropical species already within their state lines. However, the state-to-state trafficing of all snakeheads is a federal offense. This means that only those specimens already existing with MD at the time of the beginning of the ban are allowed. No new specimens may be shipped into the state.

I saw a River Monsters episode about a South American Wolf Fish. Looks similar to the Bowfin and Snakehead but i've never seen any for sale in England, but there could be a reason for that.
