The laws vary depending on which state you live in. In Alabama, such large cats do not require a permit, last time I checked. It could have changed now.

no, not a zoo. I was just wondering because my sister have a bobcatxdomestic. I was looked into buying another one, but I could only find highland lynx, desert lynx, and pixie bobs. Iare these cats legal? Are they considered "big" cats?
