Giant Snakehead The Legend

There are many legends surrounding this awesome freshwater predator equivalent of a Great White Shark. There are many stories of them killing swimmers, fishermen witnessing Giant Snakehead the size of a fisherman's boat etc. The usual rare size that is talked about is 5 feet in length, even I was told about this. And it is said that such specimen is caught by using rope tied to a tree and of course a hook with chicken mostly being the bait

I have kept Giant Snakeheads years ago which I had to release in the wild ( native country ) when family could not handle their fast growth and aggressive behaviour. Just never had anything like them. Anyway, with accessive fishing and constructions today it is very saddening to say that I do not hear such stories anymore. Below is a picture of what I don't know, it looks like a fish than any other animal. What caught my attention is the body. The head is confusing me, but the body looks exactly like that of a Giant Snakehead. Not saying it is a Giant Snakehead but that body made me just want to share, what do you think?

Body sure looks toman!! The head looks very alien it's bottom jawe is to set back. With snakeheads the bottom jawe purtrudes the top dose't it???

Not really, bottom jaw longer than the top jaw varies with individuals from all the Tomans / Giant Snakeheads I have seen. Three types I have seen, bottom jaw longer than top jaw, both bottom and top at equal length and top jaw slightly longer than bottom. I like the ones at equal length and top longer than bottom because it gives this 'more than a typical fish' look.

But of course, the head in this picture above is absolutely alien..and the top jaw looking much much longer than the lower. But that body is yes absolutely Toman.

lol defiantly fake :D

we've went over this before. nobody knows what it is

This is the 2nd, ...or is it 3rd time this has floated around the forums. Painted mouth and body pattern. No dorsal fin showing. Ventral fin cut away. No visible pectoral fin...

...Just let this fake float by.

Where did you find the pic? source?

There's no way that is photoshopped, look, it is clearly a dog fish, a giant dogfish.

It looks like someone finally killed Barney.

I was so tired of that Purple Dinosaur.
