Leichardi restricted w/chip?

Tried ordering a leichardi from lfs, supplier said it's highly restricted w/chip.
Is this BS cause they can't get one or some new regulation?

This is news to me. Never had any problems or heard of this before today - Only Asians have the chips or so I thought.

Did you mean Leichardti arowana? If so, it's either BS or your LFS carries Asian leichardti.

I think they are confusing lei aros with Asian aros

I thought so, kinda hard to find good lfs. I've been on "list" of fish request for so many lfs without success. Found this one and with over 30yrs of experience thought I'd give it a shot. Too bad the only staying in business are the chain stores.
