Does anyone know where I can get a leichardt arowana (baby) or is it just seasonal for them? If so when is the season? thanks.

I was told by my LFS,that they are almost impossible to come by.

We have heaps over here , more L. than J. , the season is in spring.... so soon , we are just coming out of winter , I have a few L. for sale right now , but I am sure you diden't want to know that

Sad thing is silver/black asian and african arowanas are big $$$ over here , the cheepest are silvers @ $250-$500 a baby ( most asians other than greens are in the thousands) , where saratoga are around $50

i hear ya buddy.. i picked up my Silver for $300, Leis and Jars are both under $100 though.. weird ay... lol.. i want an RTG or super RED as my next aro!

A silver for $300...wow. I paid 15.00 for mine. I guess Ill pay 150.00 plus for a L. Thanks for the response guys Ill keep my eyes open.

Most of the stores here in central California you can acquire a S. Leichardti most reliably if you special order from a shop that normally has a quality selection of fish stock. They are not super tuff to come by and I think probably why we don't see them more often is that the cost more ($200.00 for 4inch)and look very similar to young S.jardinii($75.00 to $50.00 for 4inch).

eekkkk I just got offerd a RTG for 2800 and I have hurd over 6-8K for a red!
