Leichardti and Delhezi

For some reason, I thought my leichardti and delhezi would get along since they are about them same size. Guess I was wrong. This is what happened to one of the larger of the delhezi group I picked up from Rich.

dang I would have voted on the armatus to do that not the lei,was the bichir swimming up toward the top?my lei's always hated bichirs too,the tail movement and shape when they swim just reminds them too much of another aro.But they never hated them that much....

btw are you positive the armatus didnt do that?I don't see a lei being able to cause that wound in the tough hide of a bichir about the same size.....they have teeth but not like that,my 11" lei has bit me and didnt even draw blood.....

that was your problem, that bichir doesn't look small and the person to do damage had to be bigger, and you stuffed both in a 25gal tank.

so the fish isn't your answer to its death, its your action of putting them both in the tank you put them in.

Actually the lei was smaller. It's about 2 1/2-3 inches. The bichir was about 4 inches.

If you see his Lei, you would think there is a chance the Lei may be eaten by the Del, not the other way around

thats a mean ass lei then to be killin at a size of a feeder fish. i had mine since he was that small and kept it with a 2" tsn, baby channel cat, lil ornate about 3.5".
