does anyone know if leichardti can be kept with tankmates or is it like jardinis . and how come most leichardti pics i see they have a protruding bottom lip? is this what they mostly get?

leis can be kept with other fishes.. unlike jars, they are a little bit friendlier.. lol

Yes and no.

I have seen it done successfully...but I have also seen it fail...also experienced that too

I suppose you will not know until you try.

Mine did very well with other larger fish that it could not eat or get beaten up by. I know guys that have had them both with silvers, jars and blks so it is possible

My Leichardti was pretty nasty, it wiped out fish larger than it. Saying that, I've seen people keep them successfully in a community, so it's down to the individual fish, much the same as Jardinis.

I think lei are almost likely the same as the jardini, but you'll never know until you try

My Lei is doind good with his tank mates now. He was quit the chaser when he only had a few tank mates (3x datnoids, 1x fei feng). Now he is in with 5x LG silver dollars, 2x fei feng, 2x LG polyterus, 2x fancy plecos, and 1x datnoid. Tank is overstocked but everyone is doing well. We'll see how long it lasts...

My old lei was kept in a comm tank, with dats, FF, and a big african aro. No serious problems, but as everyone has said YMMV
