I dont know the season, but I know that they have only lately become available here. I saw a small one at a store in Murrieta (about 45 minutes drive north of me), about 5-6 inches going for almost $100. It was the first I have seen of its kind so I dont know if that is a good price for it or not. It didnt look that impressive to me. Maybe that much just cause they are rare or maybe they look way cooler when they get bigger. Would just as soon get a jardini IMO.
