So after my Julies (Julidochromis) successful breeding multiple times in my other tank, now I am seeing what I am suspecting good news in my Leleupi tank. Eggs?

Strangely, the guarding mother keeps moving these and we see different counts at different point in times. Looks like she is trying to get a proper safe location depending on movements within tank.

Hope it will be a successful hatch, am noticing it for first time in this tank.

Sharing few pics.

I was thinking they are eggs (but not 100% sure, since am seeing its first time with leleuipis), initially I thought they are air bubbles, but they do not seem to be, since I see them sometimes on top of the rocks, and sides also, this one fish keeps moving them around.

I searched up pictures of leleupi eggs, and they don't look like the circular things on the rocks. url I don't know if the link is gonna show but the eggs are relatively small. I think those are air bubbles.

The juveniles in my leleuipi tank is now 2 months old. They are growing nicely and eating well. Feeding them the same food hikari sinking cichlids food Excel, with spirulina for adults too.

It's amazing to watch them jumping onto food while feeding, and the adults wait and watch them. Adults also store and keep aside some food for later for the babies. There are 5 adults in my tank and maybe 50 juveniles. I will need to sell them when they are 1 inch in size, maybe make some money out of the hobby too.

Look at the juveniles staring at us:
