Just re-scaped my 55 gallon blackwater tank.

Went to my LFS in town and she said she can take my honey, blue, and lace gourami so I went home, got them, and went back in town, traded them and ended up with:
- Large amazon sword plant
- Sailfin pleco (about 5")
- 1 more black and brown snail (has beautiful markings)
- And tubifex worms

So it was a win-win situation for me because they were all free! :)
And this is my tank as of right now:

:naughty:

Unfortunately I couldn't get my new pleco in any of the pics. He/she is probably hiding in my driftwood

Thanks guys.

If anything, I was thinking about some dwarf amazon swords...

A 5" sailfin is going out grow that 55 gallon in about 2 months and will max out at 22". All you will be doing is vacuuming fish poop every day or your nitrates will go sky high. Why not get a blackwater pleco species?

I got him because he was free, lol. I wasn't gonna pass him up. Yes, we all know he gets too big eventually for a 55 gallon. What kind of species would you suggest?

more plants! lol looks great, as for a pleco... Clown Loaches are pretty BA to me.. takes forever for them to out grow your tank

can we see a pic of the snail..i had a snail with your description that absolutely destroyed all of my plants..
