Lemon Oscar Question

Hi, I am not sure if this has been covered...sorry if it has...but a few weeks ago, I ordered some Lemon Oscars for our fish department. They came in bright and shiney and yellow...gorgeous. Now I have noticed that their fins are getting darker and are tipped in black. What is the reason behind this? Does anyone know? They seem happy and healthy...just not quite as yellow. Should I be feeding them something special so they keep their color? Any help would be appreciated Thanks!

Thats interesting to me as well..anyway you can contact the breeder to ask about the markings and colors as they grow... your avator pic of lemon oscar looks like he is a beauty...

Thanks. Yeah, that was the brightest of the 3 that came in. He is still bright yellow...just with "dirty" fins. I have tried searching for pictures of and info on lemon oscars on google, but not too much comes up. Thanks for the tip though

thats just new growth. i noticed the same thing on all my old oscars, dont worry it goes away
