I know Lemon Oscars are usually dyed but is there a real color variant thats a goldish color on oscars?

Yep. Check out Sunset Oscar. They've been called that around here and they aren't died. What makes you think the ones called "lemon" were? The only died oscars I've seen have been blue.

I bought lemon oscar and "verified" that they weren't dyed by the LFS staff. But it turned orange. So it may or may not be dyed. Time will tell.

my brother had two lemon oscars that bred the fry ,some were yellow and some were orange the one i keep turned orange around 8 inches
