My lfs has an 8" lenticulata they just got in and it's showing some of the best color I've seen on one so I'd really like to pick it up. Not really familiar with them though so any advice or experiences you've had with this species would be greatly appreciated. I've been told everything from they'll kill everything in the tank to they're super personable and won't bother fish that aren't other pikes. They also have a 6" atabapo 1 I'd consider picking up if the lent doesn't work out. Thanks!

I had to take mine back. It was fine for a week, then started killing/trying to kill everything. It sucked because it had amazing color but I didnt want to donate a whole tank to him.

It was ~7.5-8" and at first was in with some 4" geos, and an ~5" angel fish. It killed one of my geos, and while I was getting ready to transfer him into a tank with my bigger fish, grabbed the angel fish by its tail and started shaking it.

Then I put him in with my larger Heros, pearsei, and acara. All were between 6-9" and much much beefier than the pike. I think the acara put him in his place at first and I thought everything was going to be fine. A couple days later everyone in the tank was pinned to the sides of the tank.

That is just my single experience with one.

I have a "pair" that don't seem to care for each other much in a 300 with peacock bass, true parrots, geophagus, satanoperca, and a couple plecos. They don't like each other and the parrots, but other than that they seem fine and have a lot of personality. Both come right up for food and the male begs like an oscar.
