Let me just reiterate what mean little bastards these guys are!!
Last night I rearranged some of my tanks to make room for some new fish. I ended up placing the two small lents that I picked up in Cali last month (3.5") in a 60 gallon tank along with two 5" Vampire Tetras. A 3.5" fish can't eat a 5" fish, right?
Son of a farging beech!! Came back from lunch to find one of the little bastards dragging a Vampire around the tank by it's tail. I took a net and thumped him on the head which made him promptly release the Vampire only to find that there is no tail left and a good portion of caudal peduncle is all chewed up. I don't know what the hell he thought he would do with the Vampire that was actually bigger than him but he was making a good go of it. Pretty sure I am going to lose the Vampire to boot.
These bloody lents that started off being such a great deal have cost me about $100 in fish!!!
