Lenticulata aggressive as i've read?

Hey guys,

So my current stock is clown loach, odoe pike, dat, flagtail and HBRTG~
How well will a Lenticulata do with my stock? Is it as aggressive as I've read?
will it be a threat to my current fish? (pike is approx 8, flag 10, dat 6, cl ranging from 5-10 and HBRTG @ 13-14- inches)

Mine have never been as bad as I've read about. In fact, the only fish I've ever had them beat on were a pair of motoro rays that would blunder into their territory and then the pikes would nip at their discs until they left. Beyond that I've kept them in with Silver Dollars, Parrot Cichlids, P-Bass, Flagtails & Severum with no issues whatsoever.
 
Hmmm I see, at the moment my caves are dominated by the dat but there is 3 so I'm hoping it will be ok ?
Will be checking out a FS tmr they said they have two types one with spots on head and one without. Smaller lenticulatas have spots on their head right ? I've seen so many pics of lents with spots on head but when older the spots go and the colours come out ?

Sry double post, but what do I look for in a lent ? (if it is Lents they have) do I look for spots ? Colour ?
They said the ones they have are around 8 inches !

Lents vary in color and patterning, but almost always have a bunch of freckles around the face and eyes. Check out the media gallery here in the Crenicichla section and there are several threads where people are showing off their lents.

Mine were quite large, 13 - 14", and although they didn't kill any tankmates, they did make their tankmates uneasy. They did a lot of chasing and threatening, and that made some of my fish really nervous. I eventually had to rehome them (unfortunately!) to calm the rest of the tank down.
 
Yeah checked pics of some lents and see that most have lines or spots on body~
Went to the FS today and the ones they had was venezuela :( it had a line going down body - They told me they max out at like 8 inch and they were around 7inch...
And they also have another one which has spots on body but no spots on face (but had a black line/pattern on lips) not sure what that one is!
 
Do they get any nice colouration or do they just have one black line? the ones I saw at FS was just 1 line, whereas the other one with no spots on head (on lip and body) seems even nicer than the vene's...
 
Ahh so basically just loses the colouration and lines,
Was just flicking through the media section and think the other one they had is a Crenicichla Celidochilus, the only one with lip spot?

really want a Lenticulata :x no idea where to find these
