Has anyone ever bred lenticulatas? If so, at what size do Lents start breeding? I know my lents will get very big. Right now they are about 7 inches or so and the female is showing similiar nesting characteristics as my other cichlids She is digging behind a big clay pot, mouthing the male, she shakes and back herself into the male. I scored some new "'MAGIC" breeding pots and I am considering removing the big male lyonsi and big male festae, as well as adding a new larger multi holed clay pot for the lents.

i have a pair of 18" lents the male was attempting to breed with her and one morning i woke up and one of my rays must have got her and beat her up real bad 
i dont think your pikes are breeding at 7" none of my pikes really act like other cichlids,my atabapos dig all the time all 3 are females????? they are around 10"

Nice, I have a pair of atabapo 1s that digging constantly, are always together, but have never spawned either.
