Lenticulata Debate

Some of you may recall I started a lenticulata debate on another board with numerous pics and discussion about what a real lenticulata is. Well, I asked Vinny to take a look. He's of the opinion that the fish being called 'Red Back Strigata' are definitely NOT strigata. Strigata have a pretty limited ditribution range and Venezuela is not included. As many of these mystery pikes are coming out of VZ that pretty much cinches it.

With that said, still no identification.

So there you have that. As more info becomes available I'll pass it along.

wow, now thats interesting, so you a lot of you guys are housing a recently discovered Pike species, and we didn't even know it. Well you guys are the experimenters, see what size, aggression and so forth are like. Who imported those guys?

By the way, thanks for the update, that discussion is really interesting and keeping us posted is really appreciated.
