im wondering how i could safely stack rocks in my encloser or somthing... mine just seems soo boring with a 40 breeder... anyone know any good vids or threads? this is really killin me but i dont wanna be stupid and hur my leos..

silicone the rocks. thats what i did in my bullfrog tank, i probably had over 20 pounds of rocks in that tank and they looked ready to fall over any second but never did thanks to the silicone. sorry i dont have any pix it was like 5 or 6 years ago
yeah just dont wanna take any chances... i know vf has a sick setup but the backround stuff is hard cuz i dont have a spare tank
I agree with siliconing the rocks together. You can also make some light, fake rocks as well. All you do is either use Great Stuff spray foam or use pieces of sheet foam and carve/cut it into rock shapes and paint it with a couple of layers of tile grout. Once again, it's a good idea to silicon the rocks so that the geckos can't move them.
Also you can make the fake rocks with concrete. It doesn't look as real but is cheaper and in my mind easier since it doesn't require any finish layers. Theres a good vid on YouTube of how to do it with concrete. I think it's for a rift cichlid tank but I can't remember
VF, i saw your thread and its inspiring me... but how do your geckes get so close to the top? maybe im just lookinf at it wierd but i may just have to go that...did u glue it to the wall?
They could climb to the top but they rarely ever did. I glued it to the back of the tank with silicon caulking.
