can i use peat moss in my hide box as oppose to eco earth? somehow the crap gets everywhere and doesnt stay moist for more than a few hours.
 
Why not use spagnum moss? Really stays moist, my gecko loves it (:
 
I use that dried moss you can buy at most stores that sell reptile supplies. Just run it under some water and it stays moist for days.

My little guys like to dig in it occasionaly though.
 
i agree, sphagnum or Spanish moss (thoroughly cleaned if taken from outside) work really well
