can i use peat moss in my hide box as oppose to eco earth? somehow the crap gets everywhere and doesnt stay moist for more than a few hours.

Peat moss works but is messy as well. I prefer paper towel.

shouldnt be. it will be like real moss where as peat moss is like a real fine dirt.

I use that dried moss you can buy at most stores that sell reptile supplies. Just run it under some water and it stays moist for days.

i agree, sphagnum or Spanish moss (thoroughly cleaned if taken from outside) work really well
