Thanks for the compliments. To answer afew questions. Tank is a 240 with a sump as a primary biological filter with 13 gals of bioballs set up wet dry with a recycle loop to back the return pump back and in case the prefilter ever gets clogged so my bacteria don't dry out. Prefilter is 200 micron filter pad changed ever two to three days to maintain clarity. Sump rated at 400 gallon system but with the overfill of bioballs closer to 600. Also have a lifeguard 900 fluidized bed filter as a hang on with the pump input halfway down the tank so I never have to shut it down whendoing water changes which are 50% weekly. When it is all said and done about 1500 gallon biological rating which seems to keep up well with the twice dailing feedings of 6 oz of silversides or shrimp.
I have thought of something for the middle of the water, bass or dats, maybe even a vamp tetra. What do you guys think, is it a good idea seeing that my leo x pearl is mature now and trying to breed with the big female motoros? I have other places for the pups but I don't want to see such pretty babies end up as lunch.
Also, I got a flag tail to clean up the turds the rays leave behind and healmost got merked by the arowana three time in five mins. So he is with front now to grow out. Had fronts about 6 inches but the started getting taken out, and tinfoils early on but they can't take the water temp out the tap inthe summer which comes out the tap at 84.
