I am thinking of adding a leopard bush fish in my 46 planted tank. I know very little about them. Pretty much I have stocked in there is 1 angelfish and 1 EBJD. who if he destroys the plants will move to a different tank. Oh I also have 3 lemon tetras. i know Im getting close to my capacity just any ideas on the leopard bush fish for a planted 46 tank. thanks
I'd say you're good to go.
I kept a Ctenopoma acutirostre in a well planted 27G tank for about a year with many different fish including angels, and recently moved him to my 6x2x2' with numerous cichlids including two Dempseys. He's about 5" long now and getting a bit big for the 27G. Very peaceful fish, don't think I've ever seen him nip at anyone. He'd rather swim away and impersonate a leaf.
I think it's possible that a C. acutirostre will eventually grow big enough to eat the lemon tetras but I imagine that would take a couple years depending on what size you acquire one at.
