picked up a tiny leopard bush fish today at the moment he is with my african dwarf aquatic frogs in a 55 lt tank I intend to put him in my 300 lt 4 ft tank with my senegal and polly bichir at the moment not possible as he will become a snack . I had one I sold last year within 6 months he was about 7 inches and used to terrorise my bichirs he even put my rainbow shark in his place so I hope this one will be a bit nicer they realy are a fantastic fish wish I had a larger tank to have a few more

You can definitely have more than one Leopard Bush fish in a 300l 48" tank, they don't get very large.

Using the 55l as a grow out tank you could do 2-3

ok i have read online that as they mature they can become aggressive with each other unless you get about 5 of them

I've heard it but never seen it. Had 3 together for a long long time and they all was relatively peaceful with each other.

Of course, your experience could differ.

I will get another one the one I had before grew to about 6 inches and was quite aggressive he would take on my rainbow shark and then went after my bichirs so I sold him he was a beautiful fish though that's I want to try again

I currently have nine living together. I got them at a couple of months old just over a year ago. They are in a 4 x 2 x 2 with four poly's. So far they are fine together. After meal times they seem to bicker for a bit but no ones getting hurt. There are lots of caves, nooks and crannies in the tank and each seems to have their favourite hang out. An upgrade to a 8 x 2 x 2 is planned for next year.

wow I got another one today is a bit bigger than the one I got last week but they seem ok they are in a grow out tank until they get big enough not to be concidered food by my senegal and polly bichir they are beatyfull fish
