I didn't spell that right, but If I got a few of those and put them in a 30 gal (not permantly, I know they'll grow big) with a pair of German Blue Rams would it work? Lots of driftwood and plants for hiding places.

When I had mine, he lived with some Loaches, a Pleco, a Rafael Cat and a Flying Fox. But I think Ctenopomas will beat the tar out of eachother.

There have been stories of people keeping quite a few of them together, but thats probably within a larger tank with more space and more hiding places.
Also, are they jumpers? I might not have a lid.

They are usually quite easygoing.I have never seen them act aggressively toward another fish but I have never kept a group of th.

I imagine they would jump, as they are airbreathers, just like Bettas. In fact, they're in the same families. Ctenos are just African Gouramis.

Ctenopoma....nice but I recall them very slow growers also.
