Hi guys,

I'm on a tank settingup spree as I've moved and have losts of places for 30-40 gallon tanks. I wanted the ctenopoma for quite some time now and i think i can get one via the LFS i've ordered my Channa and some other fish already. I am set on bot of these fishes and would like ideas for other fish in the tank, mostly bottom dwellers and some smallish schooling fish that would fit nicely with the said pair.

All ideas welcomed , thanks !

I'm keeping clown loaches with mine. My AFB is in my 125g, but my bichirs already ate two, so I'll be moving the last one to the tank with the leopard bushfish and Clown loaches shortly.

I have...well had...2 butterfly fish, 2 bush fish, 4 bichirs, an african featherfin squeaker cat, and 7 CL's in my 150. My one butterfly fish disappeared two days ago, assuming he took a flight out of the tank and my ferrets took care of the body for me lol...but anyhow that's my combo, and it works

If you can get a 4 foot tank that would be best. Then you would be able to get some of the larger schooling fish such as Congo tetra or Dennison barbs which is what i have with my Cteno. any of the smaller schooling fish will get eaten.

for bottom dwellers mine did fine with cories (no dwarf cories). BN pleco or Raphael cat would be fine too.
