Know nothing about a buffalo head but I had one in with my datnoids and polypterus with no problems untill he got about 5" and grew some balls. I had to get rid of him cause he would confine my NGT datnoid to one area of the tank and would attack him when he would eat or try to venture out from his driftwood.
He was the only fish in the tank that I never seen any of my datnoids go after.
I miss him, he was a really cool fish but he had to go.
Once I started feeding him shrimp I couldn't get him to eat anything else.

the concern would also be that the polypterus can eat the buffalohead, especially if you get it while small
I don't know anything on the Buffalo Heads either, but I've had a Ctenopoma with Sens, ABK, and Congo Tetras before. It was fine. Very shy, but after awhile, it became more adventurous.
I have 2 Ctens (4-5" RANGE) in with a EBJD, Firemouth (ROUGHLY SAME SIZE) and four smaller albino sens. I have had zero confrontations between the leaf fish and the sens!
The Firemouth use to be a barbaric ruler of the tank until the EBJD finally fought back. After a weeks worth of *** whoppings the EBJD is now king of the tank, but never is agressive toward anything. The firemouth is still relentless toward both Ctens, but does not mess with the albino sens anymore!

Same here,but I made the mistake of giving mine waxworms.Beautiful but slow growing fish though.I've seen them bother any of the other fish though.vaine111;4001903; said:
