and i honestly think sand is fine because its what theyre on in the wild
and everyone has theyre own opinions

but anyways please leave coments so he can belive me..

Awww....the good old sand debate. Well first off it depends on how old the leopard geckos are. If they're newborns or less then 6 inches long, I use paper towels. I've used sand with adults without any issues but I've been slowly switching over to ceramic tiles. Sand is ok but you have to change it quite a bit or it smells. You also HAVE to provide a moist hide or the geckos run the risk of having the sand stick to their toes which can be a problem when they are shedding.

I used to use papertowels and that worked pretty well. I found something better though, easy to clean, and fairly cheap - shelf liner. You roll it out, cut it to fit, and you're good to go. I like it cause you can either wipe it off, or just toss it, and it looks better IMO than papertowels.

id say sand or cypress mulch

i use paper towel and tile
