does anyone have any info on these? how big do they get.what can they live with? ya know the basics.

by leopard puffer do you mean a Green Spotted puffer? bright geen back with dark/black spots, pearly white underbelly?

they are as you know brackish fish. they prefer a SG of around 1.010 as juveniles. but need higher salt levels as they age. i have mine in full SW.

GSP's get to around 6" so a minimum of 30Gallons each is recomended. they're very messy fish, so they need weekly waterchanges. i do 25% a week, or whenever my puffer looks stressed (they get a black stomach).

they need losts of hard shelled foods, as they have teeth like rodents that constantly grow. the tough food items help wear them down.

theyre great fish, full of character, but if you want tankmates dont get attached to them. my puffer got bored last week in QT. (i had marine whitespot in SW tank:irked:) he massacred 4 gobies and a chromide that was in the tank too.

heres an article written by Pufferpunk who frequently posts on MFK. its very informative. read up!:)
