Ok my LFS has some really nice and adult (around 3'') leopoldi angels and I am just considering getting some..I know that angels and discus in general is a bad idea so I guess leopoldi's would be a very bad idea as I have read they are the most agressive of the angels...Thanks :)

If I have 6 discus, 1 Threadfin acara, 1 poly. sen and an african brown knife would 4 angels be too many? Thanks :D

I dont think I could keep 3...I think four would be a better number...Anyone?

Hmm...It actually turned out my threadfin acara is a Geophagus Taeniopareius

i think you may be overstocked, i think your a lil overstock already. so adding 4 more angels is gonna be more overstocked especially in your 75g. you can still do it but its gonna look crowded.

I have kept P.leopoldi for over 12 years and have never seen agression, they get teritorial when breeding but they are all bluff and never do any damage.

you are overstocked as is. Aside from this you can keep discus and angels together. I have done so for many years and once my bigger showtank is ready I will get some altums and mix them with some red spotted green tefes. Just don't mix angels bred in South East Asia with wild discus. Actually, don't get angels bred in South East Asia. For the most part they are brought up in sterile tanks with added antibiotics to keep the bacteria count down. They generally don't last a long time when exposed to the average aquarium conditions and are likely to pass a multitude of diseases on to the discus
