Hi all, just sending out some feelers here to see how much demand there is for a leopoldi stingray (people who would actualy travel and be willing to pay for it).

I work for a LFS down south, about 40min West of London, and am trying to perswade my boss to let me get some in. Problem is at £2200-£2500 each they obv have conserns that they will just sit in the shop.

How many people here would acutaly be willing to travel and pay that sort of money?

Cheers,

Matt

jesus not a chance, with the exchange rate that price is ridiculous

at that price they will sit in the shop for a long time, as Caroline said you can get CB Leo's for £800.

if they where Black Diamond Leo's then the price wouldnt be so bad but you would stil have to find someone who wants to shell out 5 grand on a pair of rays. thats why no shop's have botherd bringing any in so far, huge risk.

that would have to be bd or eclipse and very good at that!
no more than £1000 pounds for any ray otherwise.
If you are that close to london just drive across the channel and get them from nico or mark .for a lot less than that and captive bred!
If those leos are on the new list that maidenhead aquatics just got then they are captive bred thailand, nice(whoknows parentage?) but rather have european.

no need to travel to europe either and risk looseing them at the tunnel(i know someone who did),i am buying a uk bred very high quality leo with bd crossed with it for alot cheaper of rayrayray on here in a couple of weeks. He has offered me regular leo's also even cheaper still!

as lame as this sounds , i recognised a couple of the rays in the pictures on the list i saw as being from a breeder in thailand!
