leo's spots changing

any ideas why both my females are changing? they were large solid spots, now it appears they are breaking up! is this normal?

Starting to eclipse..... there is actually studies out there that state there is a bacteria present in the eclipse spotting .... how they are linked... im not sure

I've had this happen before. The spot patter is going to change and not necessarily into eclipse rings. It could take a while but some of the spots will break into smaller spots. I'm no expert but this has been my experience. How big and how old is the ray?

judging by the look of it... i would say the ray is in the 13-15" range?
