heyy im thinking about gettin a lepord gecko, wat does it need....food, tank size... THANX

10g tank, heat mat covering 1/3 of the tank, water dish, warm and cool side hides.. they eat mealworms or crickets dusted with calcium w/ D3, then leave a bowl of calcium with no D3 in their enclosure. Paper towel makes a good substrate.. they are very handleable and usually calm.

if i were u i would get an older one...but 2 babys are pretty fun. look at some of my forums and do exactly the oppsite of me. talk to vicous fishies and evilxyardxnome theyre both very good helpers. but i got a 40 gallon for 2 and i have a plexiglass divider.

Next time you want basic answers, Google.com is your new best friend. For now however, a twenty gallon would be a good size for a couple or a single adult. Keep off all particulate substrates and go for safe options, tile for slightly more natural, paper towels for convenience in cleaning. Couple of hides, at least one must be humid and moist, this can be done by stuffing spaghnum moss into it, though I use moist, not wet, tissue papers clumped together. Mealworms or crickets, constant dusting and adding multivitamins. If you want to, leave a dish inside. I get a natural warm temperature all year round, but I suppose that if you are in america or britain, you will have to warm the tank up, one side hotTER, one side colder. Various ways of doing so. No studied need for UVB tubes just as yet. Leave for about a week to settle, then handle gently for the next week. Should be tame by then.
