Hey guys I got one of these awesome little fish about a week ago and have since read up on them. I just purchased another one of the little guys today and 10 minutes after dropping him into the tank him and the other started doing this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf9j9WgWU6w

Now I've heard breeding has never been recorded but this has to be courtship as they are still doing it!

i will have some one move it... your very welcome

about 2"

I agree, I think they are way too young to be sexually mature. I have one that is about 12 inches long so I don't they will be mature when they are only 2 inches.

Most headstanders are very territorial and fasciatus is usually found solitary outside of spawning season. fasciatus can get to 18" plus in full grown adults. Spawning has never been acheived in standard aquari as this species migrates for spawning similar to Prochillodus sp. I have had a few accounts of success sent to me from Asia and the reports state that they have had success with hormone injections. But who to say someone can't crack them? You can be the first but you have several years ahead of you prior to that happening.

they usually are in puberty at 6 inches. but it's hard to say - good luck
