Temperament differences between megalotis and gibbosus?

I haven't kept any Longears, but I haven't had any aggression issues with my 100 gallon pumpkinseed tank. Hope this helps.

I've kept longear, they are beautiful fish but they can be a bit testy, both among themselves and with other fish. I found that using driftwood and plants to create separate zones so that each fish had it's own space helped a lot

both being lepomis they can both be testy ample sight line breaks such as wood and plants really help as dose slight over stocking such as is sometimes suggested with cichlids. also comes down to personality of the fish and boy do they have it.

Longears are just as aggressive as any other especially in a small tank.
