Was in the local Petco today and saw a tank labeled with banded leporinus. There were three specimens in the tank, one of which was a banded leporinus. The other two were similar, but definitely different. Sorry I don't have a picture. Same body shape, but the yellow and black on these two were not as bright as a banded. And the fourth and fifth (or third and fourth) bands came together on the sides of the fish to form a V shape, with the bottom of V pointed down. Any thoughts on an I'd? I've kept a banded leporinus before so am familiar with what they look like. I seem to remember the ventral fins on these two specimens had some black pigment, and the tip of the adipose fin had a bit of yellow/orange on it.

They appear to be juvenile marbled headstanders. Fin nippers, so a no go for my tank.
