Leporinus with Ray's

Anyone know how Leporinus and Ray's get along. The ones Im looking at are 10" long and I want to make sure they are ray safe. I havnt found alot of info on them yet.

I've never kept them with rays but I can tell you they are very nippy. Keep your eye on them if you do it.

I think it's a bad idea. Leporinus are more than just fin nippers. They can harass to the point of death. I can imagine what they might do to a ray. I had one that challenged my 2 Florida gar and severly nipped their fins in a day. I had to remove the Leporinus.

they are killers....IMO

I have seen them kill big fish, NO WAY WITH RAYS!

i kept one that was 8-10 inches with my rays for 2 days. after the lep found that they were not aggresive, he took advantage

Yeah they have some nasty teeth! Leporinus actually means little hare, because they have teeth that look like a rabbits teeth, I had a small one take the tail off of my ghost knife and one of my senegal bichirs.
