Leptobarbus hoevenii question

Fishbase says to 100 cm for this fish. Is this too big for even a 300 gallon aquarium?, will it attain that size in that aquarium or a smaller size????????

my dad has one in his 125. Had it 4 or 5 years now i think, and once it hit the 10" inch mark it has really slowed down. Its now 13" or so. The largest size ive seen for this fish was 22" in the home aquaria.

we have them as feeders here.
theyre called sultan fish here.
just got em today and one of the bags had a few large ones.
so im keeping them.
