I've decided that after 6+ months of complete failure of raising my 8" Royal Loach, I'm going to place it in its own unheated tank (high 50s-high 60s) I experimented with this fish in water as cool as 76-78F without success in a community of clown loaches with plenty of hiding places. I have never seen the Royal Loach eat, it has gotten quite thin.

Any recommendations for tankmates for my Royal loach at this temperature range?

I don't know about tankmates. But I sold my royal loach due to not seeing it eat for 1-2 months, temp was 76F. GL, hopefully the colder temp would help with the appetite.

Thx. Temp is at 68F, it has eaten some red wigglers overnight, ignored market prawns. Going to try tilapia filet next.
