Hey all, it has been a long while since ive been on here, but i was wondering about some info on some lesser aggressive sunfish. I have access to catch different kinds of very small sunnies in local streams and was considering starting up a native tank as i have not done that in some time since i was a kid. So what are some of the smaller or less aggressive sunnies? and what tankmates would be suitable? Thanks in advance.

If you want sunfish that are less aggressive, then you need to get some that aren't Lepomis! Look for banded, black-banded, or blue-spotted sunfish. They are all much smaller, tend to be shy, and are more of a community fish than any of the Lepomis species are.
