I used to frequent a shop called Fish Gallery in the Dallas area. I introduced a friend to them also. Well my friend decide to buy a cpr backpack refugium from them. Well a week went buy and they had not recieved the order. About 2 weeks later we get a call saying it is in. Well, they ordered the wrong product, back to the drwing board now. We waited another week and this time we went to pick it up and they tried to charge us $150.00 more for it. GRRRRR!!!!!
about 2 weeks later I purchased some 8.3 reef buffer from them, got it home and added it to my refill water, ph did not change, I added more ph went up .1. Useless, I called them and told them what was happening and they told me I should use something else. I explained to them that I just paid $12.00 for the bottle and asked to exchange it and Tom said he cant do anything because it is already opened. I asked him how am I supposed to know it is defective unless I open it and he said "oh well nothing I can do. I hung up and called Dallas North Aquarium in Carrolton and they told me that they would take care of it, all I had to do was bring it up there. So, I did and they gave me a new bottle and I didnt even purchase it there. They are a great store.
Last issue: I broke the main shaft on my Mag 12 for my protein skimmer and panicked. I called all around and no one had it available. My last ditch effort was to call Fish Gallery. I called and they said they could have it by noon the next day. Meanwhile my tank is going south without a skimmer. I called Fish Gallery the next day at about 1:00 pm and it was not in yet, they told me they would call me by 3:00 pm and still no call, I called at 4:00, Vicky got an attitude with me but I bit my tounge because I needed the impeller shaft badly, she said she would call me in 20 minutes with a price so I could come get it. 5:00 came and went I called at 6:00 and Vicky was gone. They said they were closing and no one knew about it.
I finally got it from another lfs and called Vicky at "Fish Gallery" to let her know that she let me down for the last time and she had the nerve to yell at me like I was a child. Maybe they should treat customers with serious aquarium issues. Thats all, Im done and thanks. Lesson Learned!
