I have three tanks now, 55g (currently empty, wife is trying to get me get rid of it), 75g (housing a 6.5" black diamond) and a 180g (4'x4', housing a 6" blue diamond).
Juvy caribe season is coming and my hear starts to itch and my brain is generating some ideas on what I should/could do.

assuming I can only keep the 75g and the 180g, should I sell the black diamond and move the blue diamond to 75g and have a shoal in the 180g?

or I should be happy of what I have now and scratch the idea of caribes?

or I should try to keep the 55g and move the black in there, move the blue to 75g and get a shoal going in the 180g?

keep in mind that my wife isn't into fish and my son is only 2 months old. (these are the key factors of making decision making so tough, unfortunately)

Mods, I meant to make the poll close on 04-30-09, can it be changed?
thanks

dont sell the black diomand

okay normally i would say keep em all but i voted sell the black , just because caribes are expensive and you can trade him for some babies ,keep the 55 for caribes getting picked on. since you will probably loose alot because they eat eachother i would get like 25 maybe 30 and pick out the weak ones maybe try to get them big in the 55 or sell back to pedro nothing beats a beautful shoal of caribes you grew from 1 inch. your bdr will thrive in the 75 for awhile. after you get rid of thee caribes getting picked on or you put back with the main shoal get a baby manuelli for the 55. thats just what i would do. and i love black diamonds but you already have a blue rhom, so adding a manuelli would add some diversity to your growing collection. i personally would loooove one , when i sell my frontosas wich has been hard since the big male was my first fish and i grew him to from 1 to 6 inches i will get a manuelli. they are my dream fish right now lol it keeps changing!!! gold diamond, manuelli, another blue geez its an addiction!!!! sorry for the ramble :)

that tank was made for caribes. you know what you should do...

You're already keeping the better of the two rhoms. This way you'll have a sick pygo shoal, and BDR which is more active and outgoing. That's what I would do if i wasn't emotionally attached and could find a good home for the black diamond.

my opinion is that the 180g is too big for a lone piranha, unless a 12+"er

do the cariba, piraya, super red, and ternetzi if you can find them in the 180 and then put one Rhom in the 55g and the other RHom in the 75g

done!

I wish I could keep them both, but most likely can only keep two tanks going at the same time. at least that's the case for now.
most likely the black will go unless some how it become this crazy rhom I always dream of. or my lady had a change of heart and say to me that I deserve an other 180g (even harder than winning lottery).
