Would love to see pictures of your 125g and larger tanks. Getting a 180 and looking for inspiration. I'm personally thinking of a minimalist decor with a driftwood centerpiece and a minimal sand substrate.

With a stronger black background, more plants and a center or off-center piece of driftwood you can do something simple and nice

Mine is still a work in process, but since its a tall show tank I realized it needed tall pieces of decor to take advantage. The large wood to the right is like 25” tall, the plants 22”.
The tank is a 300 gallon, 8 foot long. Back is painted black which helps the FX6 intakes blend in.
