Ok so it's my 23rd. B-day today. Well the 17th. it's getting close to over.
I took the day off of work that's allways great. lol And I decide to go up north to toledo. I figure hey I got all day lets find a LFS I have never been to. So I yellowbook pet shops in toledo. I find one that seems good. called Dave's Tropical fish. So I get my directions. Since my printer is not instaled I just jot them down real quick.
Before I go north I stop in to see my mom and she gives me my b-day card and some cash. Cash is allways great.
Then I head off to the bank to pay some bills and get ahead so when x-mas comes I got some extra cash. And when I get there I have like over $100 more dollars then I thought I would have. We got a bonus at work for our performance I forgot about. and I had OT last week. So now I'm up like amost $400 for my trip.
So I get off on my way. Now Toledo is about 2 hours north of me. So I don't get there often. and Deffinitly do NOT know the area. So I get lost I mean REALLY REALLY lost. and Had to buy a map of the town. FINALLY I find the place. And I am Pretty mad b/c it's a house NOT a store. So I drive the block a couple of times thinking why did I come this far. and I tell myself just go in it's not worth wasting the trip. So I go in and it's a house but the bottom half is a pet store more lizards snakes and fish then fuzzy animals. I start looking around and what do I find.
3-10+ bichers $80 each
1-5"+ripsaw cat $50
2-7" bichers $50
1-5" gulper $120
and a crap load or baby RBPs and albino plecos.
I start chatting it up with the two guys that run the place and started to fall in love with the big 13"+ bicher and I ask how they would package him for me if I bought him explaining I live far away and it would be the farthest I have ever transported a fish. They reassure me he would be fine. So I end up taking The big guy with me. and before I leave we start talking about MFK and the guy has a wholesaler up in buffalo. and the wholesaler knows and has been to ArapimaGs place and seen his collection. So they know MFK which is sweet.
So I talk him down to $70 for the big guy out the door. and away i'm off.
I get home start to acilmate the new guy (now named lucky you'll get it in a min) and I put some water in the bucket he's in and a net over the bucket. I come upstairs to get on here and about 10 min later I go downstairs and the net is not on the bucket and no fish in the bucket either. I'm freaking out right about now. But I find him about 3 feet away from the bucket. Not moving I'm thinking he's dead so I think fst put him back in the bucket. Which now has a BUNCH of dog hair in it b/c what he picked up on the floor. Now he's not moving so I think faster and grab him and start pulling him around the bucket making water flow over his gills helping him breath. He starts to com around and I get him in the tank. He's doing fine now swimming and exploring his new tank. I think he will be just fine. And that's why I call him Lucky.
Now I'm home and chilling out and thinking I want to get a movie to watch. So I got to walmart and pick up RAMBO. on blu-ray (my first blu-ray) and I get some gas on my way out of the parking lot. And I decide why not it's my B-day I'll get some lotto scratch offs and see what happens. Welll I win all $10 back AND get a entry ticket to the Ohio Cash Explosion TV show. All I have to do is mail it in and maybe i'll be on TV.
NOW that's a Good B-day.
