I know you are all thinking TGIF but thats my point.Stop this abreviation madness! It is far worse than you all think.eg. Everyone knows the NASDAQ is the stock exchange,but what do the initials stand for?If you dont work in finances then like me 95% of you will have to google it.The more you ponder the more you will realise abreviation is fast becoming a language in its own right!STOP IT NOW- ASAP!!!"

kind of pointless to rant about legitimate abbreviations. are you going to go around saying nasdaq or National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation. Are you going around saying I'm a self contained under water breathing apparatus diver, or just scuba diver.

Now if you're talking about txt speak that's different. I shudder when I see a 50+ something person I know with the "where ru 2nite" texts. you've got a full keyboard on your phone - use it!

i cant stand when someone shortens a word up.... you have a keyboard, use it... lol. ( lol-lmao-rofl are the only words i use that are shortened )
