Divider between red and BB has came down recently... so i decided to remove it all together. It has been a week now. so far so good as far as scale loss and shredded fins. (reminder: swimming space is 7x3 footprint)
It is clear that the larger red is a dominant as he is swimming around the entire tank while BB sits in the top corner seemingly swimming against the current (he used to be on the current free side). If he comes out of the corner then red gives a chase.
Added my hunch back green into the set-up (partly to increase the number - partly because he grew back his tail and rear fins after the mauling he received at the hands of jar).
Now all three sit in one corner swimming against the current (that's how i find them in the morning). Only red comes out. All fishes still eat.
Hmmm contemplating to add the juvenile up and coming black aro into the set-up. Hmmm and may be the paddle fish as they are getting too big for their 6 footer. That should increase the number of residents.
Not a fun experience watching the chase in the tank - hopefully more residents should improve the temperament of all. I am a bit worried that when the tank lights are finally fixed as they will be able to see each other very clearly ....
Pictures coming soon (after i move black aro and paddle)
